Nathan's BBQ would like to announce, Our longtime meat cutter, Mr. Jimmy Borchgardt is retiring this Friday, July 19th.

During his 9 years at Nathan's BBQ, Mr. Jimmy was most likely the first person you met when you came into Nathan's BBQ. He was definitely our most experienced meat cutter, and folks he knows how to sharpen a knife the Old School Way.
Mr. Jimmy has been around BBQ for over 65 years. He started BBQ'ing at Grade A Meat Market in 1964, one of the original BBQ places in Brenham. His favorite BBQ memories are BBQ'ing with his Dad for family events such as baptisms and confirmations. Another great BBQ memory of Jimmy's BBQ'ing 100 chickens by himself on an open pit outside of K&G Steakhouse on July 4th 1965.

We have truly been blessed with having Mr. Jimmy working at Nathan's BBQ, showing us his strong old school work ethic, interacting with our customers and showing off his awesome meat cutting skills.
We will sadly miss having this kind and hardworking man at our restaurant, but are extremely happy he will be able to retire and pursue the next adventure.

Congratulation Mr. Jimmy!
Come by this Friday at lunch to wish him a happy retirement. He will be truly missed.
Thank You,
Nathan's BBQ
Employees and Management.
